Tasting Notes: A very good vintage, 2001 is not a year to imitate the opulence of the 2000s as it is more old-fashioned in style. The keynote characteristics are freshness, purity, and direction. Over the next decade the wines will mature into classic wines. If they will never have the same weight or opulence of the 2000’s they will have great grace and finesse.
